Some 300 families in Lander, Wyo., will have a better Christmas this year thanks to a group called the Lander Basket Committee.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports the Elks Lodge, the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Lander Community Foundation, youth groups, and volunteers put together the baskets, which include a whole turkey, food, gifts, and toys for families in need.
"We just want to thank the whole community," says committee chairman Deanna Trumble.
