Chris Venter, of Biz Community, writes that corporates are now using technology to improve their employee volunteering programmes to the benefit of employees, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and their business endeavours.
As a result, it caused significant changes such as giving corporates access to information where they learn about the causes that matter most to their employees, fine-tuning their employee volunteering practices even further, and having an outright avoidance of greenwashing.
Venter points out that as technology evolves, the employee volunteering "trinity of businesses, employees and NGOs start to serve each other in increasingly meaningful ways."
