People Are Awesome: Miracle League Needs Volunteers, Generosity Collective Offers Grants

Volunteers are needed for a Springfield, Mo., charity that helps kids with disabilities play baseball.

Hamra Enterprises, a family-owned company that operates nearly 200 restaurants nationwide, has created a position of director of giving, reports the Springfield News-Leader.

Rachael Sellhorn of Collierville, Tenn., will manage the company's philanthropic efforts.

Hamra has donated more than $5.8 million to various charities in recent years, including Boston Children's Hospital, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, Make-A-Wish Illinois, and St.

Louis Crisis Nursery, reports the Springfield News-Leader.
