The BRTF won the Heart of Broomfield award in 2022 for their volunteer service in finding housing, household supplies and cultural mentors.
100% of the funding went directly to support Afghan/Ukrainian refugee housing insecurity.
No taxpayer or city funds have been received since the initial one-time grant, using all volunteer efforts, and donor support.BRTF also received a grant from a regional foundation that supports refugees in mental-health focused programs like mental health first aid.
