Ford Foundation has bestowed seven million dollars to Native American communities and organizations. The grant money is split between several groups, but there is a common cause. The belief behind one particular recipient of the grant explains how investing in the Native American community extends to helping the community as a whole.
Other portions of the money were used to staff Native American businesses, and establish a strengthened movement with Native Americans in art and culture. This particular of the aspect of the grants goes to an organization that is dedicated to beliefs and interests of all native people. It includes Native Hawaiians, Alaska Natives, and American Indians.
Many other organizations win other grants and awards consistently to provide further funding.
