School Board Sounds Alarm Over Potential Loss of State Grant

The Philomath School District faces the possibility of losing more than $1 million in state funding over the next two years.

The Local Option Levy Equalization Grant was created by the Oregon Legislature in 2001 to provide more equitable funding for districts with lower property values.Philomath has relied on the grant since voters narrowly passed the district's first local option levy in 2013.
