Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Capital Region, Bench Mark Program, and CASA of Lancaster and Lebanon Counties have each received a $47,000 grant from the Touchstone Foundation to help mentor more than 400 young people in Lancaster County, PennLive.com reports.
The Touchstone Foundation, which focuses on youth mental health, says the three nonprofits will use the grants to train staff and volunteers to "ensure that mentors understand trauma-informed care to support youth growth and development through adversity."
An estimated 422 Lancaster County youths will be mentored next year.
