The UK's Ashden Awards are honoring some of the country's most innovative efforts in the fight against climate change. This year, the awards—which started in 2001 to recognize the most innovative work in sustainable energy and development—shorted 12 projects for their efforts in the areas of energy innovation, local nature recovery, and sustainable agriculture, the Guardian reports. The winners will be announced in early winter, coinciding with the COP climate change conference in Paris. See the full shortlist here.
