The town of Rockport, Maine, is taking action against climate change with a speaker series that will run through 2023, the Portland Press Herald reports.
"Taking Action on Climate Change: What Can Rockport Do?" is a free series that will run at the Rockport Public Library on the third Wednesday of each month from Feb. 15 to June 21.
"These experts will illustrate how individuals and communities can take action towards mitigation and adaptation to climate change," according to a press release from the Rockport Conservation Commission.
The series is part of a grant the commission received from the Maine Governor's Office on Policy, Innovation, and the Future to fund a climate vulnerability assessment, a greenhouse gas inventory, and a public outreach campaign.
A customized collection of grant news from foundations and the federal government from around the Web.
